What is „Use Negative – Make Positive“ ?

„Use negative – make positive“ – it‘s a multilateral youth exchange project hosted by non- govemental organisation (NGO) „Krantas“ from 6th to 14th June in Plunge.

This project will ensure the follow – up of the previous “Krantas” youth initiatives and youth exchange projects and gather 31 young people from 5 different European Union countries: Estonia, Italy, Portugal, France and Lithuania. Some of the participants - disadvantaged youth in different ways.

During the project participants will be working with themes on art, culture and antidiscrimination.

Photography and video making will help to reflect upon the social problems coming up from economical inequality and discrimination as well as to analyze the challenges of youth unemployment all around Europe. On of the most important aims of the project is to investigate and analyze the specific social problems, their origins and find out possible solutions. One of the most important part of the project – organizing the Youth day of the international project “Fotobienale 2010” in Plunge. This event will help us to deliver the project results for the local society, let them know about other countries and other cultures and also touch upon the project’s themes. After the youth exchange the results will be disseminated in Plunge’s region and outwards.
